It's back again! It's hot out there, so it must be time for another SHA 3-on-3 (or 4-on-4) hockey session.

Join us for a fun, fast paced, and exciting kind of hockey!

• SHA 3-on-3 Ice Hockey will consist of 2 teams per session made up of players spanning the entire range of that age grouping.
• Coaches will rotate 3 player lines of matching skill and size.
• Teams may vary each week to keep games competitive (Jerseys are provided.)

SHA was blessed to have so many wonderful fathers on the ice last year and we are hoping that you enjoyed your time and will volunteer to coach for us this coming season. Even this position has been getting easier within SHA as the underlying support system strengthens. If you would be willing to Coach or help coach, please fill out the Coaching Application available below, and return it to the Kevin Berry via the contact information on the application.

Tryouts for the SHA 16U team will be held on the following dates:

• April 17th 1:00PM-2:00PM
• April 25th 12noon-1:00PM

HOCKEY 101 is a program designed to give children who have NEVER played hockey an opportunity to put on the equipment, lace up a pair a skates, grab a stick and step out on the ice without incurring the expenses of outfitting a child in hockey equipment and paying for a full season program. HOCKEY 101 allows a child to try the sport before committing to the costs associated with it. But beware Mom & Dad….once they put on the equipment and get on the ice….they LOVE it!

MVAHA member organizations will provide an equipment set to each registrant that includes a helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey pants, shin guards and a stick. Your child will be issued a numbered set of equipment and the equipment will need to be checked back in at the end of each session.

Springboro HS Varsity Hockey is kicking off HOCKEY WEEKEND ACROSS AMERICA with another Youth Hockey Night at the last SHS Varsity Game.

This is Senior Night also and the SHA Youth Hockey 8U/DL players will be scrimmaging between the 2nd and 3rd periods.

All Youth hockey players wearing their favorite team jersey will be admitted with one parent FREE of charge!

SPRINGBORO – SHA (Springboro Hockey Association) asks the Dayton area to log on to www.reebokhockey.com and vote for SHA’s Hockey Rocks Video. The one-minute video features SHA youth hockey players and families during a practice session. It has been voted into the semi-finals of a national, online contest hosted by Reebok. Reebok will award hockey equipment and other prizes to the winners.

The Springboro group’s video is only one step away from the contest finals. If you would like to help support SHA youth hockey, go to www.reebokhockey.com. At the top of the page, click "Reebok Hockey Insider" and then click "Register." Once registered with an email address, visitors can view “Hockey Rocks” videos and vote for “SHA Hockey Rocks!” There is also a prize entry for those who vote in the online contest.

Due to the number of registrations we've received, SHA hockey will be combining the 8U House & 8U Developmental teams. The two will hold all practices together, but the Developmental players will not participate in the games unless their coaches and parents deem them "ready".
